Home | Importing your Scripts

To use Scriptgeist you need to import a script into the database.

When you add a script you also add either a Final Draft .fdx file or a plain text .txt file of the script for importing the content into Scriptgeist.

When you import your script file, the system creates the main script entities in the database for analysis and visualization.

  • The import creates script entities for:
  • Scenes
  • Roles
  • Locations
  • Snippets (scene action/dialog/transitions)
Note that Scriptgeist is not suitable for writing a screenplay, only for analyzing a screenplay.
